One of the smartest dogs. Probablly why they are used for police work and for handicape service dogs. They can range from sandy color to having a lot of black.
We used to have a yellow lab but it died a few years ago. I thought I would paint this for a present. The hard part was doing it while she was gone as she lives with me.
6 X 8 Oil on hardboard This was done for a friend to give to her dauaghter. I am now working on a painting of the double falls which is a big challenge as I haven't been there to see it so am using photos.
8 X 10 Oil on Gessoed Board $45 This was taken from a painting a friend of mine who I admire did. I am trying to understand perspective and color so the best way is to do it. This is my try.

I would love to be able to look through my window & see a light house in the distance. I just love them. I thought adding the exterior to the window gave it more character.
When I went to the Bahama's I noticed the very clear striking green water. It was totally different than anything I had ever seen. I am used to the water in the Pacific ocean with it's blue color. This gave me the change I needed & the memory of the vacation there. Being inside so much it was a great trip down memory lane. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I have no formal training. Have had one class and watched a couple tapes on oil painting. I started painting when my hands started to shake & I was having dexterity problems. I have Multiple Sclerosis and I am rather unusual as I paint from a wheelchair & often with 2 hands.
