This is a golden retriever. They are very good with children,
as they love to play especially ball. I love all the different colors
in their coats.

Bullet, my dog

He's a Jack Russell, Terrier mix. He has long legs & black spots like
a dalmation. The spots are hidden & we didn't know it until his coat
was cut down. Surprise! It was a big one. He's the smartest dog
I have ever had. What an enjoyable guy he is. Got him from
the pound, where I like to get dogs. Usually get really great
dogs from there.

The Jack Russell's are nice dogs. My neighbor years ago in
California had one. He would come right on in the house if
the door was open. He would go straight out the back & jump
into the lake which was his only way of getting home. He was
a fun guy. Very smart dogs.

This was a commission painting I did for a high school classmate
who thought enough of my painting to want this of his dog Lena.
This was my first white dog which was a challenge as I had to
learn how to bring those slightly hiden darker colors out white
showing the white that was the prominate color. I hope he enjoys

I am starting to love to do these dogs. Each dog is a
completely new and very different challenge. This started
when someone wanted me to paint a dog for his daughter. I
am getting more requests to do a new and different dog.
I wanted to make this dobie look kind not mean as many think
of them. They can be very sweet dogs. How they are raised
can & will make the difference.
